Direct Injection Control – IDU 1 & Additional Components

The BMW B48A uses a direct injection fuel system which requires a dedicated control module separate from the main engine management unit. Specifically, an IDU 1 (Injector Driver Unit) is required to manage direct injection operation on this engine when used in a race application.

We hold the following ancillary components in stock to complete a full, ready-to-run installation:

• IDU 1 — Injector Driver Unit for BMW B48A direct injection control
• Plenum mounting plate — purpose-made bracket to correctly mount the IDU 1 onto the engine plenum
• Correct sub looms — matching sub-harnesses to integrate the IDU 1 with the engine and chassis loom
